BEGINNER'S TIPS

Drink plenty of water before and after, but not during class.

Wait 2 hours after eating to practice.

Arrive 10-15 minutes early for your first class to sign-in and get settled.

Wear comfortable, fitted clothing for maximum movement and flexibility.

We practice in bare feet (no shoes or socks) on a "sticky" mat.

Please refrain from wearing strong perfume or cologne to class.

Please don’t bring cell phones or pagers into class.

You may want to bring a small towel to class to avoid slipping on your mat when you sweat.

Please inform your teacher of any injuries or illnesses you might have.

Always practice at your own level. Avoid overstretching or straining, and rest when you need to.

Consult your teacher if you have any difficulties or experience any discomfort in your practice.
